Job Summary

This role at the Leibniz Institute for Plant Biochemistry involves supporting the Chemical Analytics department within the MetaCom program center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the meticulous organization and management of standard substances, natural product libraries, and databases, including sample archiving and integrating assay results. Key tasks also include preparing standard solutions, performing basic analytical methods for quality assurance using UV and mass spectrometry, and conducting biological screenings. The position requires active participation in establishing a new sample management system, managing sample access, registration, and shipping, and providing guidance to new team members, students, and trainees. Additionally, the role involves administrative duties such as contract management (MTA, CDA, cooperation agreements).
