This role involves providing critical 2nd level support for Linux-based systems within the secure land communications sector, specifically for Airbus. The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for the setup, installation, and maintenance of virtual and physical Linux servers, including incident and problem management for RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS environments. Key responsibilities also include contributing to operational release management, change and configuration management, and ensuring thorough documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT, particularly with server environments, networking, and firewalls, coupled with excellent communication skills in both German and English. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification; or completed vocational training in IT

Experience

  • Professional experience as an IT specialist, IT system electronics technician, or IT system merchant
  • Experience with HP HP-Synergy, HP Blade Center, HP Proliant, and HP 3PAR-Storage
  • Experience with RedHat and VMware is desirable
