Job Summary

As the Research Group Leader for 'Control of Development and Growth in Horticultural Crops,' you will spearhead cutting-edge research into the endogenous processes governing root and shoot development in horticultural plants, specifically focusing on hydrangeas and petunias. Your daily responsibilities include coordinating research activities, managing projects, and publishing findings in international journals. A key aspect of this role is securing third-party funding for plant development research and contributing to the strategic evolution of the research center beyond 2028. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree and PhD in Horticultural or Plant Science

Experience

  • At least 3 years of research experience in plant physiology, preferably with horticultural crops
  • Extensive experience in third-party funding acquisition
  • Extensive experience in project management
  • Extensive experience in leading a research team
  • Experience in mechanistic modeling of plant physiological processes is desirable

Additional
