Job Summary
This role seeks a visionary and responsible expert in microbes to lead a research group focused on plant-microorganism interactions in sustainable horticulture. The successful candidate will coordinate research activities, manage projects, and publish findings in international journals. A key responsibility involves securing third-party funding related to plant-microorganism interactions within horticultural practice. The role also contributes to the conceptual development of the research institution as part of the leadership team. This position offers a unique opportunity to actively shape the future of modern, ecologically sustainable horticulture by focusing on molecular foundations of mycorrhizal symbiosis, plant responses to arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and the study of plant and substrate-specific microbiomes.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree and PhD in Biology or Biosciences
Experience
- At least 3 years of research experience in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Horticultural Sciences, or Plant Sciences
- Extensive experience in third-party funding acquisition
- Extensive experience in project management
- Extensive experience in leading a research team
