Job Summary

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Physicist specializing in detector technology and medical imaging, contributing to the future of healthcare. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and verifying innovative detector concepts through experiments and simulations, analyzing complex data, and supporting project leadership. A key part of your work will involve defining and ensuring compliance with image quality specifications, coordinating the integration and release of CT detectors, and supporting product launches and manufacturing processes. You will also develop testing processes and specifications for new detector technologies, including photon-counting detectors. This position offers a flexible work environment with options for mobile work within Germany and limited international mobile work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in detector and X-ray physics, excellent simulation skills, and experience with data analysis and programming, contributing to a global team at a leading medical technology company.

Required Skills

Education

Doctorate (PhD) in Physics or a similar field

Experience

  • Professional experience in research and development of complex detectors for ionizing radiation
  • Experience with complex measurement or image data evaluation
