Job Summary
This pivotal role involves leading the IT and digitalization strategy for a global, family-owned automotive supplier. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing IT governance and compliance, managing the entire IT infrastructure, including cloud environments (AWS, Azure), and optimizing ERP (SAP R3/S4HANA) and MES systems. A key focus will be on implementing cutting-edge technologies like Smart Manufacturing, AI/ML applications, Digital Twins, and process automation (RPA, UiPath), alongside integrating IoT and strengthening cybersecurity. This position requires managing a multi-site IT team, collaborating closely with business units, and expertly handling the IT budget and vendor negotiations. It's an attractive opportunity for an experienced IT leader to drive digital transformation within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or comparable professional training with IT management experience. Master's in Digitalization/Industry 4.0 (desirable), ITIL Certification (desirable), Project Management Certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) (desirable), Cybersecurity Certifications (CISM, CISSP) (desirable), SAP Certification (S/4HANA) (desirable).
Experience
- At least 10 years of IT management experience
- 5 years in a leadership position within the automotive or manufacturing industry
- Expertise in ERP (SAP R3/S4HANA), MES, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0
- Experience in implementing AI/ML applications, Digital Twins, and process automation (RPA)
- Proven success in leading IT teams and digitalization projects
- Experience collaborating with multinational companies and cross-functional teams
