Job Summary

This role is for a Civil Engineer with a focus on urban water management or general civil engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and execution of new sewer construction projects across the city, acting as the project lead from initial concept to completion (HOAI phases 1-9). Key responsibilities include optimizing the sewer network for efficiency and environmental compatibility, identifying retention opportunities, and updating critical wastewater management concepts. The position also involves active participation in the strategic realignment of urban drainage, collaborating with internal teams and external consultants, and managing GIS-based sewer data. This is a crucial role for an experienced professional to contribute to sustainable urban infrastructure, requiring strong technical skills, leadership potential, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a public service environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree as a Diploma Engineer (FH/TH), Bachelor, or Master in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Urban Water Management or a comparable field of study

Experience

  • Several years of practical professional experience, preferably with personnel responsibility, in wastewater disposal/sewer network management
  • Professional experience in project leadership/team leadership of various planning and construction measures
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the planning, operation, and maintenance of sewer networks
  • Ability to provide technical guidance, support, and lead employees
