Job Summary
This role involves leading a multidisciplinary and global Integrated Product Team (IPT) focused on the research and development of hot gas path components for large gas turbines at Siemens Energy. The successful candidate will guide and coordinate engineers responsible for the design, manufacturability, maintainability, and fleet introduction of turbine blades and vanes. Day-to-day tasks include providing technical expertise, managing interfaces with manufacturing, service, and other engineering disciplines, ensuring project completion within schedule and budget, and reporting progress to stakeholders. This position is attractive due to its critical role in developing innovative products for low-emission power generation and contributing to the global energy transition.
Required Skills
Education
University degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- More than 5 years in R&D project management, preferably in gas turbine design
- Deep knowledge of design activities required for gas turbine projects
- Strong leadership experience leading multidisciplinary and global teams
- Good knowledge of design for manufacturing and manufacturing processes
