Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Planning Engineer specializing in Control and Safety Technology (LST) with a clear development path to becoming a certified Expert Inspector for DB InfraGO AG in Karlsruhe or Stuttgart. The successful candidate will undergo extensive qualification measures and gain crucial reference experience in exciting LST projects to achieve certification as a Plan Reviewer/Acceptance Inspector. Day-to-day, you will ensure the technical planning quality for digital interlocking technology, existing systems, and train control systems (ETCS), ensuring compliance with railway-specific laws and regulations. You will also oversee project completion and commissioning on-site, providing expert advice on complex technical planning and digital solutions for railway operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to Germany's critical railway infrastructure for future generations.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Communications Engineering, Information Technology, Railway Systems Engineering, Rail Vehicle Technology, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Extensive professional experience as a Planning Engineer
  • Broad experience in the construction and operation of LST systems
  • Experience in railway operations
  • Potential prior recognition by the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) as an expert inspector for plan review (EPSV or VV PSV STE)
