This role is a unique qualification program starting June 1, 2026, preparing individuals to become Track Infrastructure Specialist Planners for DB InfraGO AG in locations like Cologne, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, and Hamm. Over approximately seven months, participants will undergo intensive theoretical training and practical phases to learn the maintenance of railway infrastructure. Post-qualification, the specialist planner will independently manage the technical and operational planning of track maintenance measures (rails, sleepers, ballast) in compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include planning personnel, materials, machinery, safety services, and timelines, managing regulatory approvals, coordinating internal and external service providers, and handling invoice verification. This position requires strong organizational skills, negotiation abilities, and a willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, making it ideal for proactive professionals with a technical background seeking a long-term career in essential infrastructure maintenance.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training (Berufsausbildung), ideally in a technical or construction-related field.

Experience

  • Successfully completed vocational training, ideally in commercial-technical fields (e.g., road and traffic technology, civil engineering, track construction, logistics, transport)
  • Professional experience in construction project management, maintenance, or work preparation in infrastructure projects (desirable)
