Job Summary
The Deutsche Rentenversicherung Hessen is seeking a Head of Infrastructure Department to lead their IT and Information Processing division in Frankfurt am Main. This pivotal role involves the technical and personnel leadership of the department, focusing on server, network, firewall, database, backup, and archiving systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building and evolving a modern IT infrastructure and operational organization, managing key IT projects, and contributing to data center development. They will also advise departmental leadership on technical matters. This position requires a strong background in IT project management, ITIL, and experience in managing service providers, preferably within the public administration sector. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or Diploma in MINT (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, or Technology) or Social/Economic Sciences
Experience
- Proven successful long-term leadership and management experience, preferably in public administration
- Demonstrated experience in successfully completed IT projects within the specified areas
- Proven knowledge in the procurement and management of service providers in the infrastructure sector
- Experience in sensitive or critical infrastructures (desirable)
