Job Summary
This is a pivotal leadership role within the German Pension Insurance Hessen (DRV Hessen), a critical infrastructure entity in Germany. The successful candidate will lead four IT sections: IT Fundamentals, Procurement and Document Services; Infrastructure; Client and Service Desk; and Application Development. This position involves active participation in exciting IT projects, developing IT strategies, and representing DRV Hessen's interests within the broader IT network of German pension insurance providers. The role requires a proactive leader with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of IT processes, and the ability to inspire and develop a large team of over 120 employees. You will be instrumental in shaping the digital future of the organization, ensuring the continuous optimization of business processes and IT solutions.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or university diploma in a MINT field (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, Technology) or a comparable degree with an information technology focus
Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of Information Technology
- At least 3 years of technical and personnel leadership experience in organizations of comparable size
- Experience in committee work
