Job Summary

As an Engineer for Protection and Control Technology at DB Energie GmbH in Berlin, you will be responsible for the timely and condition-based maintenance of power supply systems, ensuring compliance with district manager guidelines. Your day-to-day tasks include commissioning replacement and expansion investments, coordinating acceptance and commissioning, creating and updating emergency plans, investigating faults and irregularities, and actively participating in annual and multi-year planning and budget submissions. You will also handle project-related approvals from the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) and monitor compliance with occupational safety, fire protection, accident prevention, and environmental protection standards. The role requires a degree in electrical or energy engineering, ideally with experience in power supply systems. You should be qualified as an engineer for protection and control technology or be willing to obtain this qualification. Familiarity with maintenance and fault clearance measures, a team-oriented mindset, a valid class B driver's license, and readiness for on-call duty are essential.
