Job Summary
As a Geoinformatics Specialist at the Ruhrverband, you will configure apps for water management tasks, manage database migrations and data, and administer GIS systems. You'll collaborate on IT projects, develop information systems, handle troubleshooting, contract management, and support users. The role requires a degree in geoinformatics or a related field, experience with ESRI products and GIS software, deep knowledge of databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL, and proficiency in SQL, Python, or Arcade. Familiarity with modern GIS tools like FME is ideal. You should be a team player, reliable, independent, and willing to learn about water management topics. Education
Successfully completed degree in Geoinformatics or a comparable field
Experience
- Professional experience with ESRI product suite and GIS software
- In-depth knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
- Good knowledge of SQL, Python, Arcade or similar
- Ideally experience with modern GIS tools like FME
- Willingness to learn about water management topics
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and independence
- Conceptual thinking and independent project management skills
- Good communication skills in German (C1 level)
