Job Summary

As an ETCS Retrofit Engineer at Siemens Mobility, you will join a team of experts integrating ETCS train protection systems (Onboard Units) into existing rail vehicles such as locomotives, multiple units, and track maintenance vehicles. Your day-to-day work involves independently implementing integration solutions for the train protection system and its components, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, system specifications, and relevant standards (e.g., CENELEC, TSI). You will handle detailed engineering for approval and certification, covering functional, electrical, and physical integration. Close coordination with internal and external partners is key, and you will oversee the implementation of integration solutions, including prototype installations (first of class).
