Job Summary

The Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (Federal Aviation Office) is seeking an Administrative Officer for its Technical Personnel department in Braunschweig. This role involves handling appeals and lawsuits related to the approval and supervision of training providers for technical personnel, as well as the licensing of technical personnel. You will be responsible for investigating facts, preparing decisions on appeals, determining costs, and preparing legal cases. The position also includes handling complex air and administrative law cases, supporting difficult revocation or suspension procedures, and contributing to administrative law principles and quality assurance. The role requires detailed knowledge of general administrative law, national and European aviation law, process and quality management, and a basic technical understanding of aviation or related fields. Proficiency in English is necessary as some tasks are performed in English.

Qualification for the senior non-technical civil service OR completed university/bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., administrative sciences) OR completed further training as an administrative specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt)
