Job Summary

The Waterways and Shipping Office Weser is seeking an Electronics Technician specializing in Operations Technology and Plant Technology for their workshop in Hann. Münden. This is a temporary position until at least November 2029. The role involves overseeing electrical repair work by external companies, installing and testing electrical power and lighting systems, commissioning and monitoring water level gauging stations, and performing maintenance and repair on locks, weirs, gauging stations, and dams. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting electrical and control systems, analyzing and documenting technical data, and participating in an on-call duty roster. The ideal candidate possesses a completed vocational training in electronics or a related field, a Class B driver's license, strong German language skills, and experience with programmable logic controllers (SPS), preferably Siemens S7 and LOGO. A swimming certificate and willingness to travel are also required.
