Job Summary
This role is for a Product Architect focusing on the Management Suite within a dynamic, high-tech IT company specializing in communication solutions for civilian and military sectors. You will be responsible for deriving and specifying product requirements from business needs and customer use cases, building and evolving core software components for product lines like RIDUX and Management Suite. Key tasks include creating feature specifications, planning releases, developing holistic solution concepts and system architectures, conducting business and system analyses, and closely coordinating with development, UX, and product management teams. The position also involves supporting product development and delivery, creating proof-of-concepts, and managing specific work packages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems, network planning, and experience with requirements management and agile methodologies, with a willingness to travel up to 30%.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Information Technology, or vocational training as an IT System Integration Specialist with relevant experience.
Experience
- Several years of experience in the conception, planning, and operation of IT systems (infrastructure, networks, services) and in IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Extensive expertise in network planning and configuration (topologies, IP addressing, subnet planning, QoS, routing, security)
- Practical experience with (military) radio equipment including configuration, presets, and frequency management
- Basic knowledge of broadband and narrowband radio systems, LTE, satellite communication, and network management protocols (e.g., SNMP)
- Understanding of interface technologies and integration patterns (e.g., REST, WebSockets, gRPC)
- Experience in requirements management, specification creation, and agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban)
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, TFS, or Git
- Knowledge of Bundeswehr command and control systems and experience in the Defence or KRITIS (critical infrastructure) sector are a significant plus
