Job Summary

The Catholic Parish of St. Franziskus in Marl is seeking an Administrative Officer for their organization. This full-time, permanent position involves managing administrative processes between the central administration and parish decision-makers, providing on-site administrative support, and relieving the pastor of administrative tasks. You will coordinate and prepare for parish board meetings, ensure decisions are implemented, and represent the parish to authorities. The ideal candidate possesses a qualification for higher non-technical administrative service, a completed administrative or commercial apprenticeship, or equivalent, along with strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office is required, and knowledge of church or public service administration (personnel, finance, construction, property management) is desirable.

Education

Qualification for higher non-technical administrative service, completion of Employee Training Course/Administrative Training Course II, a commercial apprenticeship, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in administrative tasks

  • Experience in supporting local entities with administrative actions
  • Experience in preparing for and participating in board meetings
  • Experience representing an organization to authorities or third parties is desirable
