Job Summary
We are seeking an Application Technician to join Vogt-Plastic, a company specializing in sustainable plastic regranulates and compounds derived from post-consumer waste. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers, the lab, and production to address technical challenges related to our products. Your responsibilities will include developing new markets, particularly in packaging, creating new products and processes, designing testing routines (e.g., for toxicology assessment), and interpreting various measurement data. You will also advise customers on using our compounds on their production lines and develop tailored solutions. The position involves staying updated on technological advancements in plastic recycling, mechanical engineering, and analytical technology, participating in research collaborations, and representing the company externally through technical presentations. Approximately 10% travel is expected, primarily within DACH and Europe.
Required Skills
Education
University degree, ideally with a PhD, preferably in Polymer Chemistry
Experience
- Professional experience in sales, ideally within the plastics or raw materials sector
- Experience in developing new markets and products
- Experience in developing and implementing testing routines
- Experience in interpreting technical measurements (rheological, mechanical, toxicological)
- Experience in advising customers on the use of compounds
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel (approx. 10%), primarily DACH and Europe. Limited remote work possibility; presence required in Rheinfelden.
