Job Summary
As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure within a data center environment. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on troubleshooting, problem resolution, and proactive maintenance of systems like UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, and cooling systems. You'll conduct operational readings, supervise contractors, and lead root cause analysis for any issues. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual with a strong aptitude for mechanical and electrical systems, who thrives in a dynamic, 'hands-on' setting and is committed to upholding the highest safety standards. You will be part of AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS), a team dedicated to keeping the cloud running by managing global data center operations.

- Professional experience in data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure operations
- Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
- Experience with Switchgear
- Experience with Circuit Breakers
- Experience with Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
- Experience with Diesel Generators
- Experience with Chillers
- Experience with HVAC systems
- Experience with Exhaust Fans
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
- Experience with Transformers
- Experience with Building Automation Systems
- Experience with Fire Detection Systems
- Experience with operational readings and log-taking
- Experience supervising contractors or technicians
- Experience leading root cause analysis for operational issues
