Job Summary

Join Bosch's research team to design and develop novel MEMS inertial sensor concepts for future consumer electronics products. In this PhD position, you will utilize advanced development tools for MEMS design and simulation, including FEM modeling and system simulations, to validate your concepts. You will significantly contribute to the conceptualization of new MEMS sensors and actuators through newly developed simulation models, algorithms, and methods. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary expert team and development departments, you will bring your ideas to life in new products. This role offers academic supervision by an internationally renowned expert in microsystem technology and the opportunity to publish your findings at international conferences and in scientific journals.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university studies (Master's/Diploma) in Physics, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in developing novel MEMS inertial sensor concepts
  • Experience with modern development tools for MEMS design and simulation
  • Experience with FEM modeling and optimization of nonlinear dynamics
  • Experience with system simulations
  • Experience in developing simulation models, algorithms, and methods
  • Experience in collaborating with interdisciplinary expert teams
  • Experience in communicating concepts from design to proof-of-concept measurements
