Job Summary

This role is for an IT System Administrator and Support specialist within the IT department of the Bishop's Ordinary, serving as a central IT service provider. You will be responsible for the administration and further development of the IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and end devices. Key duties involve ensuring stable IT operations through monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, handling 1st and 2nd level support requests via a ticketing system and IT hotline, and contributing to 3rd level support and technical problem analysis. You will also participate in IT projects such as Microsoft 365, backup/restore concepts, and document management systems, while implementing IT security measures and patch/update management. Automation of recurring tasks and standardization of IT processes are also expected. The position requires a degree in computer science or an IT apprenticeship with relevant experience, good knowledge of Microsoft environments, and PowerShell scripting skills. Education

Completed Computer Science degree (Bachelor or Master) or completed IT apprenticeship with relevant professional experience

Experience

  • Experience in the operation and administration of IT systems (servers, networks, storage, backup, operating systems)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft environments (Microsoft 365, Windows Server / RDS)
  • Basic experience with firewalls
  • Knowledge of PowerShell for automating administrative tasks
  • Basic understanding of SQL-based systems and application-related IT environments
  • Experience in participating in IT projects
  • Experience in technical documentation
