Job Summary
The Waterways and Shipping Office Mittellandkanal / Elbe-Seitenkanal is seeking a Survey Technician for a fixed-term position until December 31, 2032, based in Uelzen. This role involves managing property matters, including drafting usage agreements, handling land transactions, and maintaining property records. You will be responsible for updating the property information system (LIS) with contract and parcel data, processing hunting usage matters, reviewing fees, and handling property owner contributions. Additionally, you will contribute to statements regarding third-party projects affecting federal waterways. The ideal candidate possesses a completed vocational training in administration, legal/notary assistance, or surveying, along with general administrative knowledge, IT proficiency in MS Office and SAP, and experience with GIS (QGIS) and land registries. Familiarity with relevant legal areas and a willingness to undertake further training and business travel are also required.

Education
Completed vocational training as a Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r (Administrative Specialist) or Rechtsanwalts- und Notargehilfin / Rechtsanwalts- und Notargehilfen (Legal and Notary Assistant) or Vermessungstechnikerin / Vermessungstechniker (Survey Technician).
Experience
- Completed vocational training in administration, legal/notary assistance, or surveying.
- Professional experience in general administration.
- Experience with IT systems including SAP and GIS (QGIS).
- Knowledge of relevant legal areas such as rental and lease law, water law, and hunting/fishing law.
- Experience in property and land transaction matters is implied.
