Job Summary

Join LEONARDO Germany GmbH, a subsidiary of Leonardo S.p.A. and a leader in meteorological radar systems, as a Development Engineer for Transmitter Technology. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, optimization, and support of microwave transmitters (magnetron, klystron, or semiconductor transmitters), as well as the design, assembly, commissioning, and qualification of RF and power electronic prototypes. You will analyze system and circuit concepts, oversee the transfer of prototypes to series production, and conduct various measurements and tests on electronic assemblies. The position requires a degree in electrical, communications, or high-frequency engineering, several years of experience in developing electronic assemblies, and proficiency with PCB layout and simulation tools. Required Skills

Education

Engineering degree in Electrical, Communications, or High-Frequency Engineering, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the development and support of electronic assemblies
  • Experience in the design and simulation of power electronic circuits and high-frequency circuits at PCB level or with low-level building blocks
  • Experience with common PCB layout and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle, ADS, Genesys, HFSS, Simplorer, LTspice)
  • Experience with modern electronic measuring instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum and network analyzers, signal generators, power meters)
  • Experience in prototype development and systematic troubleshooting of assemblies and systems
