Job Summary

Join Schmitt Engineering as an Industrial Data Engineer, playing a crucial role in supporting the IT infrastructure for machine tools in a global rollout. You will be instrumental in worldwide machine data acquisition, integrating machines and processes into existing MES and ERP systems, and connecting international production sites to our data landscapes. This position involves developing and maintaining middleware between machines and local systems, supporting international sites during the ramp-up of new facilities, and managing large volumes of industrial data. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or a related field, knowledge of machine data acquisition and industrial data integration, strong Python programming skills, and an understanding of IoT, middleware, and production systems. Experience with MES, AWS, Snowflake, OPCUA, and SnapLogic is required, alongside excellent communication and intercultural skills.
