Job Summary

Join a leading federal authority in life sciences research as a PhD Student in the 'Host-Pathogen Interactions' group. You will investigate how viruses interact with the innate immune system, focusing on novel factors at the interface of viral sensing and neurodevelopment or neurodegeneration. Your work will involve validating interaction partners, developing novel mass spectrometry strategies for proteome analysis, and utilizing CRISPR-engineered cell systems and iPSC-based models. Graduate degree (Master’s or equivalent) in life sciences or a related discipline

Experience

  • Hands-on experience in cell culture
  • Experience in infection biology, CRISPR/Cas, or protein biochemistry is a plus
  • Professional experience in life sciences research
  • Experience with molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions
  • Experience with mass spectrometry-based proteomic strategies
  • Experience with viral infection experiments
