Job Summary

This role involves the development and operation of web-based applications within Berlin's public administration, focusing on modernizing IT systems. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of web applications, from analyzing and gathering functional requirements to programming using LowCode, FullStack, or JS technologies (specifically C#/Angular), and ensuring their deployment, testing, and ongoing maintenance. The position offers a chance to work with modern technologies like LowCode (OutSystems) and container-based cloud environments, utilizing agile methodologies. Key requirements include a relevant university degree or equivalent experience, knowledge of web technologies, and a B2 level of German proficiency. This is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity to contribute directly to the betterment of Berlin's society.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (FH-Diplom/Bachelor) in Computer Science, Administrative Informatics, or comparable fields; or equivalent knowledge and experience. For civil servants: fulfillment of career path requirements for the first entry level of career group 2 of the general administrative service.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT application development
  • Experience with web technologies for application programming
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT application development (for non-civil servants with equivalent knowledge)

  • B2 level German language proficiency required. For foreign degree holders, a certificate of assessment of qualification (long version) from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) must be submitted.
