Job Summary

Join the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) as an OSINT Analyst, contributing to the security of Germany. In this role, you will analyze and coordinate internet reconnaissance efforts, focusing on content and actors relevant to constitutional protection. Your responsibilities include independently summarizing findings into reports for internal departments and situational pictures, conducting technical and strategic exchanges with national and international security agencies, and testing new tools and AI for analysis. You will also provide technical guidance to your team and support the department head. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work independently. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree with a minimum grade of 'good' in Public Administration, Public Management, Law, Economics, Media Studies, Communication Studies, Police Service, Political Science, Social Science, or a comparable degree; OR eligibility for the higher non-technical federal civil service.

Experience

  • Professional experience in OSINT analysis within a security agency (preferred)
  • Experience in testing tools and artificial intelligence for analysis
  • Experience in coordinating and exchanging information with security authorities
  • Experience in summarizing findings into reports and situational pictures

Additional

  • Must hold German citizenship. Successful completion of written and oral aptitude tests is required. Willingness to work at flexible hours, including outside standard duty times.
