Job Summary

Join the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) as an IT Database Administrator in Cologne or Berlin. You will be responsible for operating and continuously developing database systems within the IT infrastructure. Your role will involve providing expert advice to advance database-related projects, with a strong focus on high availability, backup and recovery strategies, monitoring, and database tuning. Required Skills

Education

Completed Bachelor's/Diplom (FH) degree in Business Informatics, Technical Informatics, Mathematics, or Physics (with an IT focus) OR Civil servant qualification for the higher technical administrative service of the federal government OR equivalent skills and experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in a role corresponding to the described tasks, OR
  • Completed Bachelor's/Diplom (FH) degree in Business Informatics, Technical Informatics, Mathematics, or Physics (with an IT focus), OR
  • Civil servant qualification for the higher technical administrative service of the federal government, OR
  • Equivalent skills and experience as a 'non-civil servant employee'.
