Job Summary

As a Sensor and Measurement Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical selection, integration, and calibration of various sensor systems, including sonar, depth sounders, GPS, inertial navigation systems (INS), compasses, and attitude/motion sensors. Your day-to-day tasks will involve planning cabling and signal routing, creating technical specifications and interface descriptions for integration into ship and bridge systems, and ensuring compatibility and signal quality between different measurement systems, including EMC-compliant planning. You will also coordinate with manufacturers and classification societies, support installations, commissioning, and testing, and contribute to technical documentation. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree or technician training in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Measurement Technology, or Maritime Technologies.

Experience

  • Professional experience in maritime sensor technology or comparable applications in aviation, offshore, vehicle, or special machine construction.
  • Foundational knowledge in signal processing, sensor integration, EMC-compliant cabling, and device communication.
  • Experience with creating technical documents (e.g., cable lists, circuit diagrams, connection drawings).
