Job Summary

This role involves the comprehensive planning and technical design of onboard electrical systems, including lighting, power supply, safety technology, and consumer connections. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage external suppliers and service providers for electrical installations, from bid review to final acceptance. Key responsibilities also include preparing tender documents, cable plans, device overviews, and connection lists in collaboration with design and EPLAN planning teams. The position requires ensuring compliance with industry standards and maritime classification regulations (e.g., DNV, BV, IEC, SOLAS) and providing technical support during the construction phase, including addressing queries, overseeing tests, and assisting with commissioning. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrical engineer to contribute to complex shipbuilding projects within a dynamic and expanding engineering services company.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Electrical Engineering, or certified state-examined technician

Experience

  • Experience in planning electrical systems in shipbuilding or similar industries (e.g., rail vehicles, special vehicle construction, building technology)
  • Strong knowledge in coordinating technical suppliers and managing external trades
