Job Summary
Join the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund, a cornerstone of social security in Germany, as a Senior Expert for Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration in Berlin. You will play a key role in operating and advancing a large Microsoft SQL Server landscape (2019+), ensuring high availability, performance, and stability. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing automation using tools like Ansible and PowerShell, managing deployments, defining installation standards, and leading IT projects in the database environment. You'll also consult stakeholders on architecture, performance, and security. This role offers a permanent position in public service with extensive training opportunities and flexible working models, contributing to the smooth processing of pensions and rehabilitation.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Bachelor/Diplom/FH) in a STEM field, a comparable IT qualification, or an IT vocational training with several years of practical experience, or many years of comparable practical IT experience.
Experience
- Expert knowledge and several years of practical experience as a Database Administrator in a Microsoft SQL Server environment (2019+)
- Experience with High Availability solutions
- Ideally, practical experience in automation with PowerShell or Ansible
- Experience with large system landscapes or critical infrastructure is desirable
- Experience in Active Directory, Monitoring, Performance Tuning, or Security is beneficial
