Job Summary

FIZ Karlsruhe is seeking a Head of Project Management Office (PMO) to lead and administratively support research-related project activities. This role involves building and managing a PMO team, strategically developing the project portfolio in collaboration with various departments, and coordinating project resources. You will monitor funding opportunities, track research policy developments, and assist with project and grant management, including finances, reporting, and quality assurance. The position requires excellent analytical and organizational skills, a proactive approach, and strong communication abilities. Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree, PhD desirable.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in scientific project and process management, including grant application and reporting.
  • Initial experience with personnel responsibility is desirable.
  • Ideally, experience in program management, multiproject management, or project controlling within a PMO.
  • Experience with relevant tools and methods for PMO functions.
  • Proven experience and success with relevant third-party funded projects and funding bodies.
