Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the security and operational integrity of critical IT solutions for the North Rhine-Westphalia Police. As a System Administrator specializing in Database Management Systems (DMS), you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing ad-hoc data evaluations, monitoring system performance, and providing 3rd-level support. You will also contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical concepts and offer expert advice to various projects and departments. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field OR successfully completed vocational training with a certified technician qualification OR successfully completed vocational training in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • At least three years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience with a successfully completed vocational training plus a certified technician qualification or comparable advanced training
  • At least six years of relevant professional experience with a successfully completed vocational training in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Practical experience in problem resolution, analysis, and support (desirable)

  • Consent to an extended security clearance (Ü2 Sabotage Protection), requiring residency in Germany or an EU member state for at least five years. Willingness to participate in on-call duty.
