Job Summary
Join our team as an IT Systems Engineer in Saarbrücken, Germany, working full-time on a permanent contract. You will be responsible for the ongoing support and enhancement of our IT infrastructure, with a focus on networks, WAN, data centers, firewalls, and Windows Servers. Your role will involve providing internal 2nd and 3rd level support, selecting and implementing software solutions in collaboration with business departments, and managing IT projects from initiation to completion, including documentation. You will also participate in an on-call rotation. This position requires a degree or vocational training in IT, or equivalent practical experience, along with several years of experience as an IT System Administrator or Engineer. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, network infrastructure, virtualization, backup, hardware, Linux, and IT security is essential. Proficiency in SQL databases and programming languages like Windows PowerShell, along with experience in Microsoft SharePoint and proactive monitoring, is also expected. We are looking for someone with a hands-on mentality, high service orientation, teamwork, and analytical skills. Excellent English language skills and a Class B driver's license are required.

Education
Completed university degree or vocational training in IT, or comparable qualification acquired through practical experience.
Experience
- Several years of experience as an IT System Administrator or IT Systems Engineer
- Professional experience in network infrastructure, WAN, data center, firewall, and Windows Server management
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and proactive monitoring
- Experience with SQL databases and programming languages (e.g., Windows PowerShell)
- Experience with virtualization and backup systems
