Job Summary
We are seeking a Cloud Architect to join the BSI's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) in Bonn. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and hardened cloud infrastructures. Your day-to-day tasks will involve conceptualizing and planning cloud-based solutions, configuring cloud infrastructure on AWS (with future expansion to other platforms like Azure or GCP), managing cloud projects, and providing technical guidance to project and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant IT or technical field, experience in software development or IT infrastructure, and strong knowledge of current web/cloud technologies including CI/CD, containerization, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and at least one major cloud platform. This is a permanent position offering the chance to contribute to Germany's digital security future.
Required Skills
Education
Completed or nearly completed degree (Diploma (Uni)/Master) in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, IT Security, Software Engineering, Data Science & Analytics, Cyber Security & Privacy, IT Management, Administrative or Business Informatics, or a comparable, relevant field with an IT/technical focus.
Experience
- Experience in software development or IT infrastructure
- Experience in the conception, development, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions
- Experience working strategically and driving processes
- Experience working collaboratively and proactively in a team environment
