Job Summary
Join the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) as a Senior Cloud Architect to shape Germany's secure digital future. In this role, you will be instrumental in the conceptualization, development, and ongoing enhancement of cloud architectures (public, private, hybrid) for the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). Your responsibilities will include developing security architectures, assessing technical concepts, managing pilot projects, and providing second and third-level support for cloud infrastructures. You will also analyze security incidents, design monitoring and compliance strategies, and coordinate with cloud providers and external partners. This position requires a Master's degree in a relevant IT field, at least 5 years of experience with complex cloud infrastructures, and deep knowledge of modern cloud architectures and security standards like BSI IT-Grundschutz. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Diplom (Uni)/Master) in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, IT Security, Software Engineering, Data Science & Analytics, Cyber Security & Privacy, IT Management, Administrative or Business Informatics, or a comparable, relevant field with an IT/technical focus.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the conception, setup, and operation of complex cloud infrastructures, preferably in a security-critical environment.
- Professional experience in strategic process advancement.
- Experience in coordinating with cloud providers, IT service centers, and external service providers.
- Experience in technical and conceptual analysis of security incidents in cloud environments.
- Experience in leading second and third-level support for operational cloud infrastructures.
