Job Summary

Required Skills

Education

Doctorate (completed by October 1st) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Geomatics/Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Digital Cultural Heritage Research, Archaeology, or a related field with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning.

Experience

  • Professional experience in AI/ML applications, especially with cultural heritage data
  • Experience with workflows for digitizing cultural heritage and multimodal datasets
  • Experience with university teaching and student supervision
  • Experience in writing research proposals is desired

Additional

  • Temporary contract for three years with option for extension. Must be able to take on administrative tasks. Eligibility for public service employment in Bavaria.
