Job Summary

As an FPGA Developer in Berlin, you will play a key role in the High Power technology cluster, contributing to the development of broadcast and plasma generation solutions. Your daily responsibilities include designing, simulating, and implementing FPGA logic using VHDL and Verilog, as well as developing embedded software for SoC architectures in Linux or bare-metal environments. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including hardware and software engineers, to integrate FPGA components into complex systems. A significant part of the role involves analyzing and refactoring legacy code, optimizing system performance, and driving standardization across firmware development. You will utilize modern AI-driven development tools and stay at the forefront of industry trends. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives on technical challenges, values collaborative problem-solving, and enjoys working in an environment that balances new development with system optimization.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in FPGA design development using VHDL or Verilog
  • Proven experience in SoC project design flows and FPGA technology application
  • Professional experience in embedded software development using object-oriented C++ within a Linux environment
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, Docker, and test automation frameworks is considered an advantage
