Job Summary

The State Office for the Environment of Schleswig-Holstein is seeking a Technical Case Officer to join the Immission Control department in Flintbek. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting approval procedures under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), monitoring relevant industrial facilities, and addressing neighborhood complaints. You will act as a specialist authority, providing expert opinions for building permit processes and advising stakeholders on complex technical and regulatory questions. The position involves both office-based analytical work and occasional field inspections, sometimes outside standard hours. Required Skills

Education

Completed Bachelor's degree or Diploma (Dipl.-Ing.) in Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical/scientific field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical or scientific fields
  • Experience in operational technology of immission-relevant facilities
  • Knowledge of emission reduction techniques (noise, dust, exhaust, odors)
  • Experience or knowledge in administrative law

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driving license required. Willingness to perform field inspections and site controls, occasionally outside standard working hours. Ability to perform work at significant heights. Work permit for Germany required.
