Job Summary

As a System Architect at Wien Digital, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available database system architectures for urban infrastructure. You will act as an expert in cloud database strategy, working closely with administrators and developers to manage the lifecycle of database systems—from initial conception and migration to ongoing implementation. Your day-to-day will involve setting up and controlling cloud database services, ensuring optimal performance, and translating long-term organizational visions into efficient technical architectures. You will also represent the team in architecture and infrastructure boards. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science or a related field (implied by job title Informatiker/in (Hochschule)).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in database server administration, configuration, and installation.
  • Several years of professional experience in architectural design for large, complex database systems.
  • Proven experience with current data center trends and cloud-based database services.
  • Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and utilizing common programming languages.
