Job Summary

The University Hospital Düsseldorf is seeking a dedicated Scientific Researcher / Scientific Coordinator to join the Cardiology, Pneumology, and Angiology department. In this role, you will work within an international team led by Prof. Dr. med. Amin Polzin, focusing on basic research into heart failure mechanisms and potential treatments. Your daily responsibilities will include planning and conducting experimental research, performing cell culture work, and executing biochemical and molecular biological methods. Beyond the laboratory, you will act as a Scientific Coordinator for an interdisciplinary cardio-oncology research network, assisting with organizational tasks, grant applications, and scientific reporting. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical research while pursuing your own academic qualification (PhD). Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in natural sciences or a related field; opportunity for further academic qualification (PhD).

Experience

  • Professional experience in basic scientific research
  • Experience in coordinating scientific or organizational tasks
  • Knowledge of laboratory animal science (EU Function A/formerly FELASA B) is desirable
