This position at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm involves conducting applied research in optical quantum technologies and photonics. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will lead research projects, perform theoretical modeling, and implement experimental setups involving laser spectroscopy, NV centers, and quantum key distribution. Beyond individual research, you will supervise PhD candidates and students, contribute to research group management, prepare grant proposals, and disseminate findings through international publications and conferences. Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field; PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in quantum optics, electronics, and laser systems
- Demonstrated research excellence through publications in international peer-reviewed journals
- Experience in supervising students or teaching
- Experience working in international research teams
- Experience in microfabrication and testing of micro-optical structures is highly desirable
