Job Summary

The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician to join their CBRN Protection Technology department in Bonn. In this role, you will play a vital part in testing new CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) equipment, planning and executing measurement setups, and documenting results. You will provide essential chemical expertise for the procurement of specialized equipment and support its integration into operational vehicles. Additionally, you will ensure the technical readiness and safety of the laboratory infrastructure, manage material stocks, and maintain rigorous documentation of safety processes. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA) or Chemical Laboratory Technician, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a technical field is preferred.
  • Experience in civil protection or disaster management (e.g., fire department, THW, aid organizations) is considered an asset.
