Job Summary

The Federal Office for Family and Civil Society Tasks (BAFzA) is seeking a dedicated professional to support their Data Protection department. In this role, you will assist the Data Protection Officer by advising departments on data security and technical privacy requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating software tools for compliance, drafting data protection concepts, managing data processing agreements with service providers, and responding to inquiries from citizens and supervisory authorities. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, OR completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker/in) with focus on Application Development or System Integration.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 1 year of professional experience in network architecture, network IT security, or data security.
  • Alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Application Development or System Integration) with several years of professional experience in network architecture, network IT security, or data security.
  • Professional experience in public administration is considered an asset.

  • Must be willing to undergo a security clearance (SÜ2) according to the Federal Security Clearance Act (SÜG). Candidates who have previously held an employment relationship with the Federal Republic of Germany are ineligible.
