Job Summary

The Dresden-concept Genome Center (DcGC) at TU Dresden is seeking a dedicated Technical Assistant (BTA/CTA) to join their sequencing team. In this role, you will perform complex molecular biological tasks, including DNA/RNA sample handling, quality assessment, and the creation of NGS sequencing libraries. You will also manage cell suspensions for single-cell experiments, operate automated laboratory systems, and contribute to the refinement of protocols. Success in this position requires a high level of precision in experimental documentation and troubleshooting in collaboration with research scientists. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a biological-technical assistant (BTA), chemical-technical assistant (CTA) with state recognition, or equivalent laboratory technician qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in cell and molecular biology methods
  • Practical experience in laboratory settings
  • Experience in NGS (advantageous)
  • Experience with histology, cell culture, and microscopy (advantageous)
