Job Summary

As a Product Development Technician at Roche Diagnostics in Penzberg, you will play a hands-on role in the laboratory, contributing to the development of innovative diagnostic assays. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and executing laboratory experiments, operating advanced analytical equipment such as mass spectrometers and Roche cobas® systems, and ensuring precise documentation in accordance with quality management standards. You will independently plan development tasks, analyze complex datasets, and present results within project teams. The role requires a strong focus on regulatory compliance, including adherence to SOPs, IVDR, and ISO 13485 standards. You will collaborate cross-functionally with departments like Quality and Regulatory Affairs, while also taking on organizational responsibilities to support team operations. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician, Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biology, Food Chemistry), or completed vocational training as a Chemical/Biological Laboratory Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in laboratory-based product development or quality assurance
  • Experience in the development and optimization of immunological or biochemical test procedures
  • Experience with complex analytical systems and their validation under regulatory requirements
  • Experience in diagnostic product development or assay development is considered an advantage

German (Fluent)English (Intermediate)

Additional

  • Work permit for Germany required. Knowledge of Mass Spectrometry is preferred. Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
