Job Summary

The Medical Faculty OWL at Bielefeld University is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the establishment of a research biobank and participate in the Network University Medicine (NUM) infrastructure. In this role, you will coordinate the 'NUM-OMICs' work package within the ENRICH project, facilitating meetings, ensuring project progress, and handling reporting. You will contribute to defining metadata standards for OMICs data, developing FAIR data management concepts, and creating security and data protection frameworks for the NUM-OMICs platform. Additionally, you will assist in designing API/interface concepts and ETL processes, while providing support to the biobank's IT administration. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of bioinformatics, data science, and medical research within a collaborative, interdisciplinary national network. The role requires a strong background in bioinformatics or medical informatics, proficiency in IT infrastructure, and the ability to manage complex data workflows in a research environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics, Public Health (with data focus), or Natural Sciences with additional qualifications in Data Science/Informatics.
