Job Summary
The Data Center Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end installation, commissioning, and maintenance of critical data center cooling infrastructure, including Rear Door Heat Exchangers and InRow Coolers. Working across Germany and Europe, the role involves performing leak checks, pressure tests, and troubleshooting electronic control systems. You will act as the primary technical point of contact on customer sites, ensuring systems are handed over successfully while maintaining high standards of documentation and professional communication. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a mechanical or mechatronics background who enjoys technical problem-solving and is comfortable with frequent international travel. The role offers a unique opportunity to work within hyperscaler and colocation environments, supported by structured training on specialized control platforms like Carel. Candidates should possess a strong technical foundation, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work both independently and within small teams.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, mechanics, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in technical field service
- Experience in data center or industrial environments
- Professional experience in electrical installation or pipe fitting
- Experience working with electronics and control systems
